Jennylyn Mercado renews GMA contract for 22nd year

Homegrown Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado renewed her contract with GMA Network on Tuesday, extending her relationship with the network to 22 years.

Mercado expressed deep gratitude towards GMA and its continued support throughout her career, emphasizing her commitment as a Kapuso and clarifying rumors of a potential network transfer.

GMA Network President Gilberto Duavit Jr. highlighted his happiness at Mercado's decision to return, underscoring her significance within the company.

Present during the signing were several high-ranking officials from GMA including Executive Vice President Felipe Yalong, Senior Vice President Lilybeth Rasonable, and Aguila Entertainment CEO Katrina Aguila.

Mercado’s career includes starring in numerous Kapuso shows like 'Super Twins' and 'Rhodora X,' as well as top-billing films such as 'Walang Forever' and 'English Only Please.'

She is set to make an acting comeback with the film 'Everything About My Wife,' co-starring her husband Dennis Trillo and Sam Milby.

In addition to her acting career, Mercado has a successful music career with hits like 'Kahit Sandali' and 'Moments of Love,' and is preparing for a new album.
