Jeepney groups seek P5 fare hike amid fuel price rises

Transport groups are optimistic about a hearing scheduled for Tuesday, March 1, where their petition to increase jeepney fares by P5 will be discussed.

FEJODAP president Ricardo 'Boy' Rebaño cited the successive increases in petroleum product prices as the reason for the fare hike request.

Rebaño expressed hope that the government would act immediately on the fare increase due to fuel price hikes, rather than just observing the plight of jeepney drivers.
