Japeth Aguilar out of SEA Games due to injury

Japeth Aguilar, a veteran player for Barangay Ginebra and Gilas Pilipinas, will not participate in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games due to ongoing recovery from a knee injury.

Coach Chot Reyes confirmed on April 29 that Aguilar is still recovering and aims to be ready for the World Cup instead of the SEA Games.

Assistant coach Tim Cone also stated on April 28 that Aguilar has not regained his explosiveness and may face pain issues, making him unavailable for the tournament.
