Jacob Cortez leads San Beda to NCAA title

Jacob Cortez led San Beda to the NCAA Season 99 men’s basketball championship, averaging 15.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 23 games.

Cortez played a crucial role in Game 3 against Mapua despite suffering from cramps, contributing eight points, eight assists, and three rebounds in only 25 minutes.

He expressed confidence in his teammates and acknowledged the team's victory as significant, matching his father Mike’s two UAAP titles with De La Salle University.
