Ja Morant launches 'Ja 3', plays exhibition in Manila

NBA star Ja Morant visited Manila as part of his Make Them Watch tour with Nike, where he launched his third signature shoe 'Ja 3' and participated in an exhibition game featuring Filipino basketball stars.

Morant expressed gratitude towards the warm welcome he received from Filipino fans during a visit to Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, noting how welcoming everyone has been.

During the event, two fans had their dreams come true: one got his birthday wish fulfilled with a meeting and autographed shoes from Morant, while another fan showed off a tattoo of the NBA star.

Morant also performed his signature 'griddy' move on the court and threw in an alley-oop dunk as the crowd went wild, showcasing his skills alongside local players like Rhenz Abando, CJ Cansino, Jack Animam, Jeron Teng, Ricci Rivero, and Marga Jimenez.

The event highlighted the excitement and enthusiasm of Filipino basketball fans for international stars like Ja Morant and emphasized the importance of representation in sports.

Morant also received a unique gift—a bespoke piece of jewelry featuring vari-colored raw stones as a symbol of appreciation for his colorful game.
