Isko urges gov't to scrap face shield policy

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno urged the national government on Wednesday to reconsider its policy requiring Filipinos to wear face shields outside their homes.

Moreno argued that the Philippines might be the only country globally still mandating face shield usage and suggested they should only be worn in hospitals.

He cited the rising costs and public confusion associated with the requirement, noting that most violations of health protocols involve failure to wear a face shield.
