NBA champ Isaiah Joe visits Manila, discusses fan support and future plans

Isaiah Joe of the Oklahoma City Thunder visited the NBA Store in Mandaluyong last Friday and expressed amazement at fan support while also discussing his recent NBA championship victory.

Joe, who recently won his first NBA title with the Thunder, shared that he still feels some 'championship hangover' despite a month passing since their win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 7 of the finals.

The 49th overall pick from the 2020 NBA Draft mentioned that engagement exceeded expectations and was truly remarkable, averaging 10.2 points on 41.2% shooting from three-point range during the championship season.

Asked about his thoughts on the PBA's four-point line and the Thunder's young core led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Joe expressed optimism for another title next year despite a target now on their backs.

Joe will participate in various activities this weekend as part of his visit to the Philippines, emphasizing his commitment to supporting local basketball initiatives.
