Iran launches missile attack on US base in Qatar

Iran launched a barrage of missiles at the US military's Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Monday as retaliation for American strikes on key nuclear facilities in Iran.

Qatar intercepted some of the missiles with no reported casualties, while Iranian officials stated that the attack was proportional and did not pose any threat to Qatar.

Iranian officials called this operation 'Bashayer Al-Fath' or Glad Tidings of Victory and said it was a direct message to Washington and its allies.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry condemned the Iranian attack, calling it a violation of Qatar's sovereignty and international law, while reserving the right to respond proportionately in accordance with international law.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Qatar advised Filipino nationals to stay put until further notice due to the heightened tensions.

Saudi Arabia strongly condemned Iran's actions, offering its full support to Qatar, while the Qatari government reassured that the security situation remains stable.
