Filipinos' concern over inflation drops to 50%

According to a recent OCTA Research survey conducted from July 12 to 17, fewer Filipinos are citing inflation as their top national concern.

The percentage dropped to 50%, down significantly from April's 64%, marking the lowest level since February 2022 and indicating a notable easing of economic anxieties.

Other major concerns included reducing poverty (23%), job creation (26%), affordable food (31%), and improving wages (26%).

On a personal level, staying healthy and avoiding illnesses was the top concern for 63% of respondents, followed by having enough food daily (47%) and securing education.

The survey also showed an increase in the percentage of people prioritizing savings, from 22% to 35%, indicating potential modest improvements in household conditions.
