InfinitUs denies hiring trolls for China, calls Senate claims baseless

InfinitUs Marketing Solutions Inc. denied on Friday any involvement in a contract with the Chinese Embassy to hire trolls or spread pro-China narratives.

The company called Senator Francis Tolentino's accusations during a Senate hearing 'baseless' and claimed that the service agreement presented was unauthenticated, unsigned, and unfamiliar to them.

InfinitUs acknowledged receiving a P930,000 check from Bank of China Manila Branch in September 2023 but stated it was legal and justified for services provided to diplomatic institutions.

The PR firm accused Senator Tolentino of violating banking secrecy laws by revealing their financial records and said they will consider appropriate legal actions.

InfinitUs also denied engaging in trolling or online harassment, stating that their work is transparent, ethical, and data-driven communications.
