IMF upgrades global growth forecast to 6%

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) raised its global growth forecast to 6% for this year on Tuesday.

This projection reflects increased fiscal support, accelerated vaccinations, and adaptation of economic activity to overcome pandemic restrictions.

The U.S. economy is expected to grow by 6.4%, the fastest since the early 1980s, due to a new $1.9 trillion aid package and other policy responses.
