Ilocos Norte cities, towns open own swabbing facilities

The city government of Batac in Ilocos Norte has opened its own swabbing center to assist residents needing coronavirus tests.

Since opening on Tuesday, at least 42 residents have been served.

This local facility aims to reduce the burden on provincial testing centers and help with expanded contact tracing measures.

Similarly, Vintar town also established a swabbing booth funded by the local government to expedite test results for exposed individuals.

The booths address issues related to specimen collection, storage, documentation, and mobility.
