IATF suspends travel to Region VI for NCR Plus, Cebu, Davao

The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has barred people from NCR Plus areas, Cebu City, and Davao City from traveling to Western Visayas until April 10.

Western Visayas includes popular destinations like Boracay and Guimaras and comprises the provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, and cities Bacolod and Iloilo.

The travel ban was approved by the IATF following a request from local officials in Western Visayas due to rising COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila, nearby provinces, and other cities.

Iloilo province had already suspended inbound flights from Metro Manila and Cebu starting April 4 until April 10.
