House panel certifies compliance in VP Sara Duterte's impeachment

The House of Representatives' prosecution panel submitted a certification on Wednesday to the Senate affirming full compliance with constitutional requirements in the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte.

This submission includes an enrolled copy of Resolution 328 (House Resolution No. 2346), adopted by the House plenary on June 11, certifying that the impeachment complaint did not violate the Constitutional one-year bar.

The Senate impeachment court confirmed receipt of this certification at 1:06 pm on Wednesday, verifying that the proceedings did not violate constitutional provisions.

Public Prosecutor Marcelino Libanan signed the submission on behalf of the entire prosecution panel and copies were furnished to the Vice President and her legal team.

Prosecutors also filed a Manifestation reasserting their unqualified entry of appearance, contrasting with Duterte's legal team who submitted a conditional Entry of Appearance Ad Cautelam questioning the impeachment court’s jurisdiction.
