House to ratify PHP6.352T budget, convene quad committee hearing on drug war

The House of Representatives will reconvene on Monday to ratify the proposed PHP6.352 trillion national budget for 2025.

House Majority Leader Manuel Jose Dalipe expressed optimism that both chambers would form a bicameral conference committee and finalize the budget before the Christmas break on December 20, with enough time left for approval.

The House aims to pass remaining measures from the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (Ledac) priority list, including amendments to the Agrarian Reform Law and Foreign Investors' Long-Term Lease.

The quad committee is scheduled to hold its 10th hearing on November 7 to investigate the Duterte administration's drug war and extrajudicial killings, with former President Rodrigo Duterte expected to attend.
