Harold Cabreros sworn in as new OCD admin

On Tuesday, Undersecretary Harold Cabreros was sworn in as the new administrator of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.

Department of National Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. presided over the ceremony and expressed confidence in Cabreros' leadership to support disaster resilience programs under the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

Cabreros replaces Assistant Secretary Bernardo Rafaelito Alejandro IV, who has been serving as OCD officer-in-charge since June when Ariel Nepomuceno was appointed Bureau of Customs commissioner.

Previously, Cabreros served as director of OCD's Rehabilitation and Recovery Management Service and is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1984.

The Office of Civil Defense remains responsible for implementing policies to reduce vulnerabilities and manage disaster consequences in the country.
