Philippine footballer Hali Long loaned to BGC-College of Asian Scholars for AFC Women's Champions League

Hali Long, captain of the Philippine women's national football team and Kaya FC-Iloilo, has been loaned to BGC-College of Asian Scholars for the preliminary stage of the 2025 AFC Women's Champions League.

Kaya FC confirmed the news on Saturday night, noting that Long will join Group B where they face Nasaf of Uzbekistan, APF of Nepal, and Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia in matches to be played in Uzbekistan.

Long's presence is expected to significantly boost CAS as they prepare for continental competition, given her defensive prowess and leadership skills; this marks Ms. Long's second appearance in Asia's premier club women's football tournament after captaining Kaya Women's in the inaugural edition of 2024-2025.

Stallion Laguna, the 2024 PFF Women's Cup champions, represent the Philippines in Group A alongside teams from Myanmar, Guam, and Mongolia; Stallion makes their debut tonight against Khovd Western of Mongolia at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon.

Kaya FC expressed their support for Long and wished Stallion Laguna luck as they compete in Asia's biggest stage.

College of Asian Scholars will kick off their campaign against Al Nassr on Monday.
