The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Social Security System (SSS), and Pag-IBIG Fund have launched calamity loan facilities for members affected by Severe Tropical Storm Crising and the enhanced southwest monsoon in multiple declared areas across Luzon.
Active GSIS members can now apply for emergency loans of up to P40,000 for existing borrowers and P20,000 for first-time applicants with a 6 percent annual interest rate over three years until Oct. 24 in Metro Manila and Rizal Province areas; and until Aug. 24 in additional provinces such as Batangas, Bulacan, Pangasinan, Palawan, Bataan, Pampanga, and the city of Dagupan.
GSIS Officer-in-Charge Juliet M. Bautista said the expanded emergency loan program will now cover new areas including Cainta, San Mateo, Montalban in Rizal; and the cities of Malabon, Marikina, Las Piñas, Navotas, and Valenzuela until Oct. 24.
GSIS encourages members to file applications digitally through the GSIS Touch mobile app for faster processing.
Pag-IBIG members can borrow up to 90% of their savings at an interest rate of 5.95 percent and avail of insurance claims for damaged houses due to the typhoon or southwest monsoon.
