Roque: Not all Metro Manila will stay under ECQ after May 16

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced on Saturday that not all of Metro Manila will remain under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) after May 16.

Roque stated during a public briefing that some cities in the National Capital Region will continue with ECQ while others may be downgraded to general community quarantine (GCQ).

On Thursday, Malacañang said the government will give high-risk areas like Metro Manila enough time to transition to GCQ before May 15.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases plans to announce more GCQ areas a few days before ECQ ends on May 15.
