Filipinos rate gov't and private sector's COVID-19 response as adequate

A majority of Filipinos believe both the government and private sector's responses to the coronavirus pandemic are adequate.

According to a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted from September 17-20, 71% of respondents found the government's efforts to inform the public about fighting COVID-19 as adequate, while 63% felt the same way regarding the private sector’s measures.

However, when it comes to providing assistance for job losses due to the pandemic, only 54% viewed the government response as adequate.

The survey also noted that more young adults (aged 18-34) found both responses adequate compared to older Filipinos.
