Gov workers get free MRT-3, LRT-2 rides Sept 18-20

Government workers will enjoy free rides on both Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) and Light Rail Transit Authority Line 2 (LRT-2) from September 18 to 20 as part of the celebration for the 124th anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service.

All government employees can avail of this benefit by showing their ID at station personnel during the three-day period, with free MRT-3 rides available throughout operating hours and LRT-2 rides only from 7 a.m. to 9 a.a.m., and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

First trains depart North Avenue and Taft Avenue stations for MRT-3 at 4:30 a.m. and 5:05 a.m., respectively, while the last trains leave at 9:30 p.m. and 10:09 p.m.

MRT-3 General Manager Oscar Bongon expressed hope that this initiative will bring some joy to government workers during their time of recognition and appreciation for their sacrifices.

Bongon emphasized the importance of acknowledging the efforts of civil servants on this special occasion, stating 'We congratulate and appreciate all government employees who serve faithfully for the public's welfare.'
