GMA Kapuso Foundation aids 1,200 flood victims in Davao De Oro

The GMA Kapuso Foundation provided aid to 1,200 individuals in Pantukan and Nabunturan, Davao De Oro, who were affected by flooding due to continuous rains.

Davao De Oro and Davao del Norte provinces declared a state of calamity following the severe weather conditions.

Barangay Captain Elmer Codon reported that heavy rain fell continuously for three days, necessitating the evacuation of thousands of residents in Pantukan.

On Monday, the foundation distributed food packs to affected families in Pantukan as part of its relief efforts.

In Nabunturan, GMA Kapuso Foundation also provided assistance, including food packs and support for displaced individuals like Shirley Jordan who used an air bed to evacuate her grandchildren.

Affected residents such as Julieta Cielo faced difficulties evacuating due to the severity of the flooding and sought help from rescuers.

To aid those affected, the foundation continues its relief efforts in Nabunturan and Monkayo, with donations accepted through various methods including bank deposits and digital payment platforms listed on their website.
