Globe offers free Whoscall app for subscribers

Globe Telecom is offering free access to the anti-scam application Whoscall for its prepaid and postpaid subscribers through a partnership with TrustTech company Gogolook, providing an additional layer of digital security.

The initiative aims to protect Globe customers from online scams prevalent across various digital platforms, as emphasized by Eric Leif Tanbauco, Globe's Consumer Mobile Business Officer-in-Charge.

Whoscall offers features such as Caller ID to identify safe contacts or potential scammers, a Web Checker to flag malicious websites, and an ID Security feature to monitor the dark web for leaked personal information.

Globe Platinum and postpaid customers will receive free access to Whoscall Premium Basic for one year, while prepaid customers can redeem it through the Globe Rewards catalog for two Rewards points or claim a complimentary voucher via Globe Rewards+ until Aug. 30.

The partnership between Globe Telecom and Gogolook, which utilizes advanced AI technology to prevent communication fraud, aims to empower users with tools to identify and block potential scams in a constantly evolving digital landscape.
