Gilas women suffer 21-point loss to Indonesia

The Philippine women's basketball team suffered an 89-68 loss to Indonesia in the Southeast Asian Games on Friday, May 12, 2023.

Coach Pat Aquino attributed the defeat to poor shooting from beyond the arc and superior effort by the Indonesian team.

With only two games left for Indonesia against weaker teams, Aquino acknowledged that it is unlikely for the Philippines to still secure the gold medal.
