Gilas U18 roster announced for Fiba U18 Asia Cup in Jordan

Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas has announced the roster for the Gilas U18 team, which will compete in the Fiba U18 Asia Cup from September 2 to 9 in Amman, Jordan.

Led by Andy Gemao as head coach and Josh Reyes as assistant coach, the team aims to secure a spot in next year's World Cup after qualifying with a sweep of the SEABA Qualifiers last month.

The Philippines is ranked World No. 25 and will face Indonesia, host Jordan, and New Zealand in Group D.

Gilas U18 starts its campaign against Southeast Asian rival Indonesia followed by an expected tough duel against the hosts on Tuesday before wrapping up the elimination campaign versus New Zealand Wednesday.

To advance directly to the quarterfinals, Gilas must top its group; otherwise, it will compete for four remaining slots through playoffs.
