Gilas Pilipinas wins SEA Games gold over Cambodia

Gilas Pilipinas reclaimed the gold medal in men's basketball at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh on May 16.

The team defeated host Cambodia with a score of 80-69, led by Justin Brownlee who scored 23 points.

Coach Chot Reyes emphasized the importance of unity and defense, noting that they kept Cambodia's import-heavy lineup to under 70 points.

Marcio Lassiter celebrated his 36th birthday with a gold medal win, calling it a great wish fulfilled for the country.

Speaker Ferdinand Romualdez praised Gilas Pilipinas for bringing pride back to the Philippines and inspiring the youth.
