SUV linked to Sen Gatchalian's relative tries to run over lady enforcer in Makati

Sen. Raffy Tulfo confirmed on Wednesday that a VIP passenger in an SUV involved in an incident where the vehicle allegedly attempted to run over a lady enforcer is related to a senator.

The driver of the white sports utility vehicle (SUV) with a 7 protocol license plate, which was linked to Orient Pacific Corporation and board members William and Kenneth Gatchalian, father and brother of Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian, allegedly tried to run over a lady traffic enforcer after being accosted for using the EDSA bus lane in Guadalupe, Makati City.

Sen. Tulfo revealed that the owner of the vehicle is Orient Pacific Corporation, but denied owning the SUV directly.

In response to questions, Sen. Gatchalian declined to comment and referred the matter to the Land Transportation Office (LTO) for investigation.

Tulfo urged the unnamed senator's relative to come forward, admit their mistake, surrender the driver, and apologize to end ongoing public scrutiny.

The senator also plans to file a resolution seeking a Senate investigation into why such incidents occur, highlighting Metropolitan Manila Development Authority as a key issue.
