Criss Cross beats EcoOil La Salle, extends winning streak to four

Criss Cross secured a victory over EcoOil La Salle in the 2024 Spikers' Turf Invitational Conference on Sunday at the Ynares Sports Center, winning by scores of 25-21, 25-12, and 25-23.

With this win, Criss Cross extended their winning streak to four matches and now share second place with Cignal HD, both with a record of 6-1, trailing only DN Steel-Far Eastern University (7-1).

Jude Garcia led the King Crunchers with 20 points, including eight excellent receptions, earning him his second consecutive Spikers' Turf Press Corps Player of the Week award.

Despite falling behind early in the third set, EcoOil La Salle rallied but ultimately succumbed to five unforced errors that allowed Garcia to seal the match for Criss Cross.

EcoOil La Salle's Noel Kampton struggled despite playing through illness, contributing only four points, while Rui Ventura led their team with 11 points.
