Galeries Tower drafts Jean Asis 2nd overall in PVL Rookie Draft

Jean Asis was selected as the second overall pick by Galeries Tower Highrisers in the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft on Sunday.

Asis expressed gratitude towards Galeries for trusting her with this position and promised to work hard during training and games, saying it is her duty to repay their trust.

Coach Lerma Giron previously stated that Galeries aimed to draft a middle blocker if Capital1 did not secure Bella Belen, the three-time UAAP MVP from National University.

Standing at 5-foot-10, Asis aims to make an immediate impact on Galeries' roster and help the team improve its ranking in the PVL.

Galeries also picked University of Perpetual Help's Winnie Bedaña in the second round of the draft.
