G20 cites PH as model for vax deployment

The G20 has recognized the Philippines as an 'example country' in accelerating COVID-19 vaccine deployment.

Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. reported that despite initial challenges such as low supplies and high hesitancy, the Philippines was able to ramp up its vaccination efforts.

Galvez highlighted that the G20 acknowledged the obstacles faced by the Philippines, including the Dengvaxia controversy which caused public distrust in vaccines.
