Taguig reports nearly 98% recovery rate for COVID-19

On Thursday, Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano announced that nearly 98% of COVID-19 patients in the city have recovered.

The total number of confirmed cases is at 8,608 with 8,394 recoveries and only 151 active cases.

Mayor Cayetano attributed the decline to strong community support and the local government's efforts.

The recovery rate stands at 97.51% while active cases are just 1.75% of total cases.

Taguig also has only 15 active cases per 100,000 population compared to Metro Manila’s average of 33.
