Fuel prices to rise P1 per liter next week

Motorists in the Philippines can expect an increase of more than P1 per liter in fuel prices starting next week.

Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau Assistant Director Rodela Romero announced that based on recent trading in MOPS (Mean of Platts Singapore), petroleum product prices will rise by June 17, 2025.

The projected price adjustments range from P0.90 to P1.40 per liter for gasoline and diesel, and P1.00 to P1.20 per liter for kerosene.

Factors influencing the increase include positive US-China trade signals and ongoing US-Iran nuclear negotiations, as well as continued oil demand growth over the next two-and-a-half decades according to OPEC.

Fuel companies typically announce price changes on Mondays with implementation starting the following day.

Petroleum retailers recently raised gasoline prices by P0.60 per liter, diesel by P0.95 per liter, and kerosene by P0.30 per liter.
