Gasoline may rise P0.40-P0.75, diesel mixed changes next week

Motorists can expect mixed changes in the retail prices of petroleum products next week due to recent international developments.

According to Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau Assistant Director Rodela Romero, gasoline prices may increase by P0.40 to P0.75 per liter, while diesel prices could either decrease by at least P0.10 or increase by up to P0.40 per liter.

Kerosene prices are expected to remain unchanged or see a slight increase of up to P0.10 per liter.

Romero cited factors such as the threat of supply disruption in Kazakhstan, tensions in Ukraine causing disruptions, and OPEC+ considering delays in output hikes as key influences on fuel prices.

Oil companies typically announce official price adjustments every Monday for implementation the following day.
