Pascual joins BDO board, five officers promoted

Alfredo Pascual, former Department of Trade and Industry secretary, has joined BDO as an independent director.

Pascual was elected during a regular board meeting on August 31 to replace Walter Wassmer at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' Monetary Board; he resigned from DTI on August 2 after being appointed in June 2022.

Before joining DTI, Pascual held leadership positions at Megawide Construction and Concepcion Industrial and served as lead independent director of SM Investments.

BDO also announced promotions for five senior officers to the rank of senior vice president effective February 1, 2024.

Montiel Delos Santos, BDO's senior vice president and head of treasury marketing, is set to retire on September 1.
