First Lady launches 'Lab for All' in Iloilo

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos launched the 'Lab for All' medical outreach program in New Lucena town, Iloilo province on Tuesday, April 29.

Approximately 2,500 residents received free medical checkups, eye exams, laboratory tests, and medications during the event, with around 1,000 beneficiaries served in pre-caravan services in Barangays Bilidan, Bololacao, and Jelicuon Oeste, while another 1,500 were accommodated at the municipal gymnasium.

Araneta-Marcos emphasized her connection to Iloilo as her second home due to her father's roots in the province and highlighted President Marcos Jr.'s commitment to bringing primary health care services closer to Filipinos.

The event was supported by various government officials including Secretary Teodoro Herbosa of DOH, Secretary Jose Francisco Benitez of TESDA, Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., Mayor Liecel Mondejar-Seville, and other local leaders.

Beneficiaries received a range of medical services such as ENT, OB-GYN, pediatric consultations, ophthalmology, dental services, ECG, ultrasound, blood chemistry tests, along with financial assistance through programs like Tulong Dunong.
