FIRB to harmonize fees for POGO locators

Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III has ordered the Fiscal Incentives Review Board (FIRB) to harmonize and streamline fees charged by investment promotion agencies (IPAs) for Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

The FIRB found significant disparities in fees across different ecozones, with CEZA charging $200,000 for application and processing fees and $500,000 for master licenses.

Assistant Secretary Juvy Danofrata noted the lack of uniformity among IPAs despite POGOs falling under the same category of projects.
