Filipinos' approval of Duterte admin drops on key issues

According to Pulse Asia's September poll, Filipinos' approval of the Duterte government's handling of various national issues has declined.

The government's approval rating for fighting corruption dropped by 12 points to 52%, while its score for containing COVID-19 fell by 6 points to 59%.

Approval ratings also decreased in other areas such as protecting migrant workers, enforcing the law, and promoting peace.

However, Malacañang stated that the administration has shown decisive and compassionate leadership, with high approval scores for fighting criminality (+65), responding to calamities (+62), and protecting overseas Filipino workers' welfare (+60).

The government's lowest ratings were in reducing poverty (+9) and controlling inflation (+1).
