Filipino 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay' premieres July 18

The Filipino adaptation of the K-drama It's Okay to Not Be Okay explores themes of trauma and healing through the lives of its main characters.

Patrick 'Patpat' Gonzales, played by Joshua Garcia, cares for his brother Matthew 'Matmat', portrayed by Carlo Aquino, who is on the autism spectrum.

Anne Curtis stars as Emilia 'Mia' Hernandez, a successful but emotionally distant children's book author, whose life intersects with Patpat and Matmat.

Carlo Aquino prepared extensively for his role by observing individuals on the autism spectrum to bring authenticity to his portrayal of Matmat.

It's Okay To Not Be Okay premieres on Netflix on July 18 and will also stream on iWantTFC starting July 19, with airings on A2Z, TV5, and Kapamilya Online Live beginning July 21.
