Filipino designer Odelon Simpao launches bridal collection inspired by waling-waling

Odelon Simpao, a 39-year-old Filipino designer who initially focused on menswear, is experiencing a career resurgence.

Simpao, formerly a nursing student at Ateneo de Cagayan-Xavier University, has gained recognition under the guidance of renowned designers Frederick Peralta and Joijie Lloren, and now specializes in designing for male celebrities such as Dennis Trillo, Randy Santiago, Mark Bautista, and Tom Rodriguez.

This season, Simpao is expanding his creative range with Odelon Simpao Weddings, inspired by the waling-waling flower for its elegance and beauty.

His bridal collection features luxurious fabrics like French laces, beads, and crystals to create understated yet sophisticated designs that cater to different needs such as bold statements for celebrities or personal touches for brides.

Simpao's inspirations include travel, emotions, and surroundings, as well as his work with celebrities and pageant contenders, emphasizing the importance of celebrating femininity through classically designed wedding gowns available online on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
