Filipino-American players debut with Alas Pilipinas for VTV Women's International Cup

Filipino-Americans Brooke Van Sickle, MJ Phillips, and Tia Andaya will make their Philippine national team debut with Alas Pilipinas as they compete in the VTV Women's International Cup from June 28 to July 5 in Vinh Phuc, Vietnam.

Coach Jorge Souza De Brito confirmed the list of players for ABS-CBN News on Monday afternoon, adding that Van Sickle and Phillips, Petro Gazz's lethal duo who claimed MVP and Finals MVP titles respectively in the PVL Season, will help build on their historic silver medal finish in the AVC Nations Cup.

The roster includes veterans Jia de Guzman and Lams Lamina alongside newcomers Mars Alba, Maddie Madayag, Amie Provido, Alleiah Malaluan, Justine Jazareno, Dawn Catindig, Eya Laure, Vanie Gandler, and Leila Cruz.

Joining Dell Palomata at the net are Fifi Sharma and Thea Gagate as well as newcomers Maddie Madayag and Amie Provido.

Players like Bella Belen, Angel Canino, Julia Coronel, Alyssa Solomon, and Jen Nierva who played crucial roles in the AVC Nations Cup will not be part of this squad.
