DN Steel-FEU beats PGJC Navy in Spikers' Turf

DN Steel-Far Eastern University secured a hard-fought victory over PGJC Navy in the Spikers' Turf Invitational Conference with scores of 25-19, 29-27, and 25-23 at Ynares Sports Arena on Sunday.

Dryx Saavedra led DN Steel-FEU with 13 points, while Miko Espartero contributed 12 points, helping the team extend their winning streak to three games and tie for first place alongside Savouge Spin Doctors.

Coach Eddieson Orcullo noted numerous errors during the match but praised his players' resilience, particularly in Set 2 where they saved a set point with clutch plays from Saavedra.

Joeven Dela Vega scored 16 points for PGJC Navy but couldn't prevent them from falling to a 1-1 record after losing their second game of the season.

FEU will face VNS Griffins on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Philsports Arena, while PGJC Navy battles D'Navigators Iloilo on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
