FEU-Dilima wins 12th straight UAAP high school football title

FEU-Diliman Baby Tamaraws secured their 12th consecutive championship in the UAAP Season 86 high school boys' football tournament with a dominant 3-0 victory over UST Junior Golden Booters on Thursday, February 29.

Kian Niu broke the ice for FEU in the 75th minute, followed by Theo Libarnes doubling their lead eight minutes into the second half. Libarnes also won the Golden Boot award with his seventh goal of the season.

Gian Carlo Lucha was named MVP after leading the team to victory despite facing significant challenges during eliminations and earning praise for his leadership and perseverance.

UST goalkeeper Ben Sabuga punched FEU defender Bryan Villanueva after the match, an incident that occurred as Villanueva walked past the UST bench post-game. Cooler heads prevailed but not without head coach Marjo Allado reprimanding Sabuga.

Edcel James Lauron received Best Goalkeeper honors and Kent Laurenz dela Peña won the Best Midfielder award for UST, while Bacchus Ekberg from La Salle-Zobel was named Best Defender.
