ARTA urges FDA to decide on vaccine registration within 20 days

The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) urged the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to decide on vaccine registration applications within 20 days.

ARTA warned that failure to comply could result in penalties under Republic Act 11032.

Director-General Jeremiah B. Belgica emphasized the need for quick approval of vaccines and medical supplies, especially those already approved by other reputable countries' FDAs.

Belgica noted that FDA had begun automating its services in 2019 and could request an additional 20 days if justified.
