Darren Espanto discharged from hospital after appendectomy

Singer-actor Darren Espanto was discharged from the hospital after undergoing an appendectomy following a bout of appendicitis that began during his flight back from Los Angeles.

Espanto informed his fans on social media about his condition, describing it as a 'plot twist' and sharing updates from both his hospital bed and while heading to the operating room.

He expressed regret over having to cancel upcoming shows at the last minute, including his performance at the Tandaya Festival 2024 Samar Day on Sunday, Aug. 11, and thanked producers for their understanding.

Despite being discharged, Espanto hopes to return to work soon after recently participating in the 'ASAP Natin 'To' reunion concert with other Kapamilya artists in California.
