Escudero endorses Aquino, Pangilinan for Senate

Senate President Francis Escudero has endorsed former Senator Bam Aquino for the 2025 Senate race after their meeting at the Senate building in Pasay City, while also backing another ally, former Senator Francis Pangilinan.

Aquino expressed gratitude on social media, thanking Escudero for his support and shared a photo of both holding up five fingers to indicate his ballot number, while Pangilinan won in Sorsogon in the 2022 vice presidential race but lost to Vice President Sara Duterte.

Escudero highlighted the work he and Pangilinan did together on passing important legislation during their time as senators from 2007 to 2013 and again from 2016 to 2022, emphasizing his hope for a continued partnership if Pangilinan returns to the Senate.

Aquino pledged to continue working with Escudero if given the opportunity to return to the Senate, vowing to prioritize legislation that would help uplift the lives of Filipinos, while Pangilinan advocates for food security and affordable food and is currently ranked 13th to 15th in pre-election polls.
