EDSA rehab starts June 13 under 'Build Better More'

The rehabilitation of EDSA, which was announced by MMDA Chair Romando Artes during an interview at the EDSA Busway's Balintawak Station in Quezon City, is set to begin on June 13 as part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s 'Build, Better, More' initiative.

Artes emphasized that the two-year rebuild will prepare the country for hosting the ASEAN Summit next year and involves significant traffic disruptions with measures being finalized to mitigate the impact.

Affected motorists are advised to expect heavy traffic in areas including Roxas up to Guadalupe, with plans underway to free up portions of Skyway roads for affected drivers.

The DOTr is working closely with other government agencies to ensure that while there will be significant traffic during construction, steps are being taken to ease the inconvenience.

Once completed, the rebuild aims to provide substantial relief and convenience for commuters.
