Early voting for priority groups starts at 5 a.m.

Early voting for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) began at 5 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, ahead of the general election.

Voters from these priority groups were already lining up outside polling stations nationwide by 3:30 a.m., including in Cebu City and Silang, Cavite.

Comelec Chairperson George Erwin Garcia announced that voters' lists with colored photos are posted at precincts to guide voters where to cast their ballots.

The early voting period will run until 7 a.m. for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women, while PDLs began voting at 7:00 am under the supervision of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology personnel.

In Cebu City, some voters found the process convenient with numerous assistants helping them navigate crowds, while others reported longer lines and slower procedures compared to recent barangay elections.
