Duterte's ex-wife puts up their home in Doña Luisa Village for sale

Honeylet Avanceña, the common-law wife of former president Rodrigo Duterte, confirmed on Saturday that she is putting up for sale their house at Doña Luisa Village Phase 1.

Avanceña mentioned feeling the house was empty since Duterte's imprisonment in The Hague and hinted at security threats if she remained there.

Local residents have complained about disturbances caused by supporters who held vigils outside the property after Duterte's arrest.

Critics on social media dismissed the house as a facade to project a simple image, pointing out that Duterte did not disclose his assets during his presidency.

In 2015, Duterte gave Rappler reporter Pia Ranada a tour of the house when he was running for president, showcasing photos from that visit.
