Duterte urges global solidarity vs. COVID-19, terror

President Rodrigo Duterte called for deeper solidarity among nations to combat the threats of COVID-19 and terrorism during a virtual meeting hosted by Jordanian King Abdullah II.

Duterte emphasized that all countries, including the Philippines, are facing the same invisible threat from the pandemic.

He warned about the grim economic repercussions of border closures and mobility limits imposed due to the virus, noting terrorist groups are exploiting the situation.
