Duterte urges lessors to be fair, compassionate

President Duterte urged lessors on Monday to be fair and compassionate towards their tenants, particularly small businesses affected by the COVID-19 lockdown.

He called for amenable arrangements with tenants instead of evictions or cutting off utilities like water and electricity.

Duterte also requested commercial establishments to provide grace periods for deferred payments from micro, small, and medium enterprises that had to close during quarantine.
